GameInformer on Halo 3: Recon

I just got GameInformer's latest issue, and of course the cover is Halo 3 Recon!

It has a huge amount of information about the game, along with a lot of great screenshots and a really big intro to the story.

I think its gonna be really lame. All Bungie is doing is taking Halo 3, changing its campaign, and selling it for a bunch of money. Theyre gonna make it look like its something completely new so tons of people will buy it even though its basically Halo 3 with 4-6 hours of campaign.

From what I read, it is something totally new. This isn't about master chief at all, nor is it going to follow the regular linear Halo action. It is going to be basically a new game but in an expansion form.

The campaign isnt about mastercheif. But the multiplayer is EXACTLY the same as Hal o3s mp. Bungies said it themselves.

Like Welsh said, Halo 3: ODST doesn't have multiplayer! The multiplayer pack that comes with it is specifically for HALO 3.

I am talking about the campaign, it is a completely different game that follows a different segment of the Halo universe. The game isn't linear run in and bust people up, it is stealthy, with a lot of thinking and story involved. The story will end in this one, because it is an expansion pack btw.

And why would you pay probably around 40 bucks for 4-6 hours, probably the former, of gameplay??That is totally rediculous. Usually these kinds of things are put on xbox live marketplace and sold for 800 ms points. But 40 bucks and 2 years to make is totally out of line.

Why spend 60 bucks on any game for that matter?

Well some games are worth it. Like games that have replayability or games that would require a longgg time to beat, like Fallout 3. But usually games that have fairly short campaign, most everything but RPGs, have multiplayer which usually would have enough variation to keep you playing for a long while. As long as their isnt tons and tons of lag.

So Halo 3: ODST is an expansion, 20 bucks less for a brand new and engaging but slightly shorter campaign.
