Using New Game+ Insanity is actually quite easy. It will actually cause you to approach fights as you would in GoW.

Just don't try it will a "true" new character. That really does make it Insane.

P.S. - You do know that you could of done it on Hardcore during your second playthrough right?

I'm at level 58 and I just finished 2nd play through on hardcore today...Time to do what I love...Insanity.

You can weaken it with the mako but the finishing blow must be on foot :D
