You got me. There is an exeption. Fire Emblem is a great game, I really liked it, but that is mostly because I enjoy RTS style games.

IDK, you must remember Nintendo's policies and mottos.

All in all, branching out for them is done by testing new characters in a mix with pre-existing ones.

EX.

Yoshi
Toad
Wario
Waluigi
Ganadolf

This will probably be the way they do it. Once they see a side character catch on, then they expand with it. When it makes you as much as they do, why on earth mess with it?

I still just wish they could at least try to make a different style game. But then again, they made the wii only have enough graphic capabilities to handle the cartoon games they put on.

Plus Smash Bros BRAWL is awesome I hear, and No More Heroes looks fun to play. And I hear Super Mario Galaxy is pretty good.

Other than that theres nothing special, but those games are good at least.

But just remakes of the same old thing. It would be akin to putting Master Chief & the gang in the next 15 Xbox games and not expecting people to get tired of it. I know Mario is the mascot, but seriously, at some point in time, you want to kill him.

Well, you'll see something new when people stop buying everything with Mario in it.

Though it does seem to be getting a little out of hand. Mario vs. Sonic at the Olympics is just pathetic even in premise.

I have brawl, it is stupid. It is basically the same exact graphics and whatnot as melee, but they added a few characters and a few maps. What was the point?
