Default Forum Posting and You

This isn't a question, comment, or a concern, but I believe it needs to be stickied somewhere.

I have noticed in the forums that many people will post really long and run on posts, or will talk in a language no one understands, so here are some basic guidelines to get more people to actually read your post, and understand:

-When posting in a forum, do not use AIM or Text Messaging language. It makes it harder to read, and a lot harder to understand. Plus, a lot of people won't bother reading something that they can't

-When making a new thread, please make sure that thread hasn't already been made. We don't need 5 threads saying the same exact thing.

-When posting a long paragraph, be sure to put some lines between your words. People will be a lot more willing to read something that has some spaces in it rather than some giant paragraph (Ex:The first and third posts here.)

-Please leave all pointless gibberish to the spam dominion!

If anyone has more that should be on here, please feel free to post as many as you like

I have a few to add.

- Please SPELL-CHECK before you submit your post. Notice the Little red lines underneath half the words on your post? Fix them. We're not asking for perfection, but constantly spelling like a third grader is just pathetic.

- Try to use appropriate language and punctuation. Having fun with posts is fine, making a giant mess is not.

- Make sure all your links work and spoilers are noted as such:

WARNING: Spoiler!

- Try to keep your signatures as Small as possible. Having your post be more signature than text just gets annoying after a while and strains the bandwidth of all the users.
