| The Dream Game I'm planning to make a game however before it actually gets anywhere I am currently doing research on things people would like to see in a third person action game. Game developers have not been listening to their fans and so they put out crappy games.
This may seem like a kiddish fantasy to "make the best game on Earth" but I assure you that a lot is going into this. So my main question is, what is something (or somethings) you would like to see in a third person game that you haven't seen so far? |

Would you be looking to create a straight 3rd person experience or would your game implement other types of gameplay as sidequests/missions/mini-games? My personal preference would include a bit of everything...a shooter that includes flying/space battles and a solid ground campaign. |

Just a game where you can't really say it has any flaws. It WOULD incorporate sidequests/missions/minigames. So far I am merely toying with ideas, but none of them really connect. I haven't really thought about it being sci-fi but that might be a good idea thanks. Also the whole "third-person" thing is another idea that once again connects to nothing. It could very well be first person but again, all ideas. |

| Re: The Dream Game Something I would like to see is a suqad based war game where you have the ability to direct the other ai squads, lead your squad, set rendevoux points, decide on the best tactics for entering enemy strongholds, and stuff like that. You could even have multi-player co-op where your friends lead the other squads. I don't know if you were planning on a strategy based shooter though.
Another thought is having the option to choose a branch of the military to play as. For instance, you choose marines so you do alot of infantry stuff, navy you use boats and artillary, and so on. Hope this helps. |

I almost don't want to because then the gameplay would rely on levels instead of the player's actual skill. But maybe an rpg would help it in some way. I just think that the player should be the one who is gaining more skill not the character. |
